Microsoft Launches Copilot Cowork for End-to-End Task Execution

by Adriana Viviano | Jun 29, 2026

Microsoft has announced the general availability of Copilot Cowork, a new AI system designed to execute complex, multi-step business workflows autonomously. Unlike traditional copilots that assist with drafts or prompts, Cowork can independently complete tasks across tools, such as analyzing large datasets, comparing files, and identifying opportunities, while integrating directly into Microsoft 365 with enterprise-grade security and usage-based pricing.

This launch represents a major step forward in how AI is embedded into daily work, shifting from assistive capabilities to fully integrated systems that can act across processes and platforms.

What This Means Right Now

AI is rapidly evolving from a support tool into a true execution layer. With systems like Copilot Cowork capable of handling entire workflows, businesses are moving toward agent-based operations where AI doesn’t just help get work started; it completes it. This shift has the potential to reduce manual effort, speed up decision-making, and fundamentally change how teams allocate time and resources.

How to Put This to Work

1.) Identify high-impact workflows for automation
Look for repeatable, multi-step processes where AI can take over execution and reduce manual workload.

2.) Integrate AI into core operations
Adopt tools like Copilot Cowork within existing systems to streamline processes without disrupting current workflows.

3.) Focus teams on higher-value work
Use AI execution to free up time for strategic thinking, decision-making, and creative problem-solving.

Google Launches AI Search Performance Reporting in Search Console

by Adriana Viviano | Jun 29, 2026

Google has introduced new Search Generative AI performance reporting within Search Console, giving marketers visibility into how their content performs within AI-powered search experiences and Discover. For the first time, brands can track how often their content is surfaced, referenced, or engaged with inside AI-generated results, not just how it ranks in traditional search listings.

This update marks a key step in aligning measurement with the evolving search landscape, where AI-generated answers are becoming a primary way users discover and interact with content.

What This Means Right Now

Measurement is finally catching up to AI search. As visibility expands beyond blue links into AI-generated responses, success is no longer defined solely by rankings or clicks. Instead, marketers must now consider how often their content is included, cited, and engaged with in AI-driven experiences. This shift reframes performance around overall visibility and influence, not just position on a results page.

How to Put This to Work

1.) Expand your definition of search performance
Look beyond rankings and clicks to understand how your content is surfacing in AI-generated results.

2.) Optimize for inclusion, not just position
Focus on creating clear, structured, high-value content that AI systems can easily reference and surface.

3.) Update reporting and KPIs
Incorporate AI visibility metrics into your dashboards to better reflect how search behavior is evolving.

Google Removes FAQ Rich Results from Search

by Adriana Viviano | Jun 29, 2026

Google has officially removed FAQ rich results from search, eliminating the dropdown-style FAQ enhancements that previously appeared in organic listings. Alongside this change, Google is phasing out all related reporting in Search Console by June 2026 and removing API support by August. While FAQ schema is still supported as structured data, it will no longer trigger enhanced visual elements within search results.

This update reflects Google’s broader shift toward simplifying traditional search features while prioritizing AI-driven experiences that determine how and when content is surfaced to users.

What This Means Right Now

The removal of FAQ rich results signals a continued move away from publisher-controlled Search Engine Results Page (SERP) enhancements and toward AI-curated search experiences. With fewer opportunities to stand out visually in organic listings, ranking alone is no longer enough to drive visibility. Instead, success increasingly depends on how well content can be understood, selected, and surfaced within AI-generated answers, where Google, not the publisher, controls presentation.

How to Put This to Work

1.) Focus on content clarity and structure
Ensure your content is easy to interpret, with clear headings and direct answers that AI systems can accurately extract.

2.) Shift beyond SERP-based optimization
Move away from relying on visual enhancements and prioritize content that performs well within AI-driven discovery experiences.

3.) Maintain structured data for context
Continue using schema to help search engines understand your content, even if it no longer drives visible enhancements in results.
